Oftentimes, I think I don't have much to say of essence. It's prolly more of blabbing and simply getting things aired off but I do like the idea of having a place that can store & hold them, and of where I can look back to, in the future. Some happenings and thoughts through out this week:

  • Neh and I drove to North Shore last Wednesday to pick up his new headphones which he won via an online auction. Since we were in the area, we also went to Gold Crust Pies Bakery Cafe, a place that's been in our wishlist for quite some time, and oh their pies definitely live up to the hype! The portion was good, filling was generous and flavourful plus they had a big selection of desserts. The place was chill/ with a relaxed ambiance, and warm lighting. We'll definitely go back!
  • With the constant daily grind, it is as if at times I'm losing sight of my goals. This week in particular has been very tiring as we've been mostly down by 1 or 2 nurses on the floor. I come home tired, pass out on the couch after dinner, wake-up at midnight, prepare for bed, sleep; rinse and repeat.
  • Been losing the ability to use words. Gotta pick up more on reading is what my brain has been telling me to do for weeks!!
  • I've found my old Minitokyo profile and gained access to my old Plurk account! (⸝⸝0⸝⸝0⸝⸝) Nostalgia rush has been hitting me hard that day.
  • It's funny how I have different allocated places to write down my thoughts. Daily raw venting (Plurk); everyday nonsense (Status Cafe); daily record of my day (Doevery.day); thoughts with essence/ art/ inspiration (Bluesky); everything in between (Blogspot).
  • I'm very pleased with how everything is coming together in this blog. I love the colors, the small pixels, the minimalist style. I'm glad I came back and it seems like its my thing now doing a weekly entry. Though the thought of AI mining or how contents of our blogs are being used to train AI (particularly here in Blogger since its owned Goggle) has been a constant worry for me lately. Thoughts about migrating to a safer host is something I'm seriously considering.

Hmm not much to say this week. I guess that's a good thing? ꉂ(´∀`) at least nothing that's incredibly pressing that needed to be aired out or to have my thoughts organized about. We'll instead have some notes and all-over the place thread-of-thought today:

[1] I am so delighted joining cliques under Aquarel.nu by Aelyn and Cerine. I've always admired their designs and writing. They were also amongst the reasons why I've gone back to blogging and faced the challenge of coding once more. Their wonderful web designs reminded me so much of the good old early 2000's div styling.

Believe it or not, I used to do artworks via Adobe Photoshop. Tiny remnants of them survived in my earlier posts in this blog (which I was so pleasantly surprised to find out about!). Seeing them still makes my heart ache of nostalgia and fondness. Graphics designing used to be a big hobby and was (and still is!) a big source of my motivation generally speaking; getting through my studies back in high school and uni years just so I can start designing and use the computer for my leisure.

Having to learn and design digital pieces back then was incredibly fulfilling! Now that I think about it, losing all my resources such as the textures, brushes, fonts, tutorials etc., including Photoshop CS3, the program I used, has been a big regret of mine. I moved out of PH to find better working opportunities and with it came a (lot of) cost, amongst them were my hobbies. I was only able to bring with me a small notebook laptop and it could not contain everything I held dear for graphics designing. In fact, the icons and mood themes I'm using today are a small part of the collection.

Getting back into designing now that things have settled down did cross my mind though, a lot of things have changed. It's a pain getting Photoshop; resources that used to be readily available are no longer accessible; although I do agree that artists/ webmasters responsible for making them should get something (particularly in monetary form) in return apart from credit and fame. I'm also very sad about the state of celetial-star.net & aethereality.net. Those 2 websites used to be a huge source of inspiration. < Oops, I'm getting distracted > Anyway, I'm well aware that these are only my excuses. That if I want to get back into it badly enough, there are ways.

[2] Got my hair chopped last Wednesday, above the shoulder length. This is only the 3rd time I got it this short and it's due to it being such a hassle to dry during this winter season. I've been liking it so far and Neh has been loving it too.

[3] This week we've been enjoying "OPM 2025–2026 Late Night Playlist Mix"

[4] Contemplating whether to avail of a digital artbook by Natalia Zaitseva. She is an illustrator and a mum. Been enjoying her artworks and/ or comics, also her being a mum around my age resonates with me as I have a few friends who are also fellow toddler moms. Being in that stage of motherhood is both a joy and a struggle which is why I'm thinking of buying the artbook (to be at least of tiny help) plus I do genuinely enjoy her works! Please consider checking her out too!

That's it for now! I've had enough distractions while writing this post and my patience to endure more of it has rant out (╥ ᴗ ╥) Next week again!

This morning while booting up the computer, I had this dejavu feeling of excitement I used to have when I was younger -  knowing I had the time and liberty to finally freely use it. Its was a feeling accompanied by a rewarding sense of accomplishment too perhaps from a schoolwork, an exam or even a semester - comparable to what is for me now to a week of work.

Strange to feel it again but it's not an unwelcome sensation. In fact, it brought back a lot of good thoughts and memories with it - studying hard for the week and then earning the right to play on the computer on the weekend for hours!

I remember a teacher of ours at school once said that this (teenager years to early adulthood) time of our lives will be one of the best, and I agree! "Best" might come in different forms and this might not be the same for others, but the strong emotions, self-realization or discovery that emerges and develops at this stage felt so raw and new that it definitely left a mark.
・・・・・・・・・・
Was supposed to write about whether migrating to bearblog is a good decision for long-term use but in the end, often times I don't have much to say and just want to ramble and have a record that I could look back to. I like the fact that here, I can customize pages to make it look like a website and not just a blog or wall of texts. So I think I'm staying - till something pushes me away.

Any arguments to my decision is welcome particularly if it concerns AI and privacy issues 🙏🏻

This past week I've been slowly making some updates and changes to the blog. Today, while I was still at it, I got hooked listening to Efra and Waleska's reaction to English OPM, spiraling to covers to its original soundtracks, to native music and finally to the 80's and 90's.

Is it undisputed that music from years ago just have more essence, meaning and variety to them? That there was a music for everyone and that everyone was almost exposed to every genre. Or am I just biased having to live within that transition period between the old and the new world (pre and post internet)?
Or is it my yearning for what has been and for a time lost?
I am perhaps one of those people who wishes to go back in time before the internet and just at that cusp when internet was born, that very sweet spot! This might as well be my homesickness talking.

Transitioning abruptly, I've fully revamped my Fanlisting section to Media - which stores all sorts of my interests and/ or hobbies. It's not everything but I'm trying to make it as minimal as possible to not make the page too random or long but I hope its still got some personality to it!

I've also decided to join a webring (Retronaut)! Which you'll see at the bottom left of the screen. Whilst I was thinking of no longer getting myself out there, having a sense of connection to the rest of web even in the most random way felt comforting. I doubt anyone will find me from there, but it's good enough-

So, I hope you like the recent changes? I'm planning on adding more: probably books or mangas, vocabulary or even quotes. Maybe a guestbook? For now, I'm happy where we are at ♥

I was wondering when I'll start losing the motivation to keep up with writing. If the interest I've found over Easter holiday will push through... I am not too sure either as to why I had a huge gap or why I've stopped updating for quite some time.

Anyway, I've been reading a few blogs here and there and it has come to me that I shouldn't be so strict on myself bout having a particular theme or topic when making a post. I mean I think I haven't been doing it strictly so but, it might be one of the reasons why I might have stopped writing apart from trying to establish a life in a foreign country. So I'll try to be more spontaneous and random prolly from here on out.

While on the topic bout foreign-country-life, I've finally became a citizen last year! I'm now on my 10th year and 10 months in New Zealand. I've lived a boring life tho to be honest! The exciting bits were only during the first few and on my 4th year onwards, my life has mostly been just between home and work - and some odd trips from when a close friend of mine forces me to come along. But really I haven't explored the country at all despite being here for a decade. I was very much into saving up for my day to day expenses, tuition, examination, relocation fees, etc.

Not that I have regretted the way I've lived - but on the contrary, I'm proud that I didn't need or asked for my parents support as soon as I got my first (official) job. I was very much okay too being at home as long as I had my laptop (back then)/ PC and an internet connection. The only regret I carry is not visiting home frequently enough which is true to this day. Life has always found a way for me not to travel internationally when I think it's feasible enough for me to do so. Last time t'was covid now it's this beef between the USA vs Iran or the world.

So here's to hoping that the geopolitical climate gets resolved. So there's more of a sense of comfort, general safety, security and back to normal cost of living AND travel!

Finally did a spring clean and revamped about 90% of the blog! It's been Easter break and that gave me ample time to sit down and come face to face with HTML and CSS codes that I haven't dealt with in over a decade! Yes, this page has been neglected that long...

I haven't racked my brains this much in a while but I also haven't felt this inspired and creative about something in a very, very, long time. It was a lot of fun and frustration at the same time haha! Now that I think about it,  it's the very reason why I started this blog. I enjoy and admire the creative side of the process and I just genuinely like writing. Even when I'm crappy at both (ᵕ—ᴗ—).

I know there'll be barely anyone visiting but I did it for myself ( ꈍ◡ꈍ) It was nice! And I felt bad leaving this place desolated and unmaintained while I plan on continuing to post. Also I won't be too shy now linking myself on people's guestbooks. People who's blogs I've been reading and are probably the reason in igniting my fire back.

I've added a bunch of stuffs and might tweak a few more in the future! It was fun ♥

Believe it or not, I've attempted to make this post 3 times already. But unfortunately I always get interrupted by people... especially parents to stop messing on the computer and go get some rest.

Well quite had it rough at duty today but it was manageable. I was given this toxic patient and I honestly barely sat the whole shift. I really think I should work on my time management since it always take me time to do and finish things especially when I'm inside the patient's room.

Aside from what happened today, finally got the chance to make this post about the changes made in the blog. I had a hard time fixing the code about the right sidebar of my previous layout so I decided to redo the entire code and have a new look for a change. Details and credits can be found in the links section.

Minor changes:

  • Cleaned messages at tagbox/ cbox (removed random msgs.)
  • Removed & replaced broken links among affies./ blogs that are closed or moved

- this song made me a Nero fan plus the beat & rhythm reminds of the songs by CHEMISTRY (band).

COLORLESS' Uragirino Yuukake Mix is out! [linky] I honestly don't know why I'm so embarrassed listening to this where I can't even distinguish who's who! I can't even find where my voice is in this mix but nevertheless I'm happy & proud for Riku who eagerly mixed & syncronized our craptastic voices.

Wish I could practice singing now that I still have the time but since our younger cousin's staying here for a month, I think I won't be able to accomplish anything. By the time he'll leave (June 10) it'll only be 5 days away before classes starts. Huh, me and my bad luck.

Also added a few services in the toolbar below. More languages are now available under translation, a real time stat, google & w/in the blog searches are is now accessible and most of all the Youtube video gallery feature (my most favorite services of them all).

I don't upload videos but I love to make favorites most especially if its about vocaloids & anything related to Nico Nico Douga. This means, I don't have to bother pasting my favorite videos links here one by one (like what i did in the past) but instead, it can be readily accessible in the toolbar. I AM SO AMAZED BY THIS TOOLBAR!
Try clicking the "Youtube Video" on the white toolbar. The scroll's so COOL! ( *A*)b
